Replica Patek Philippe VS Rolex Watches

Thinking of getting either a Patek or a Rolex watch? Witness as Patek Philippe goes head-to-head with Rolex in one no-joking-around watch brand comparison. Read more to find out which is best.

Let’s Compare Patek Philippe V.S. Rolex

Oftentimes we get asked: “Which is better, a Patek Philippe or a Rolex watch?”

Since this question can have all sorts of different contexts, there are many answers.

Let’s see how Rolex and Patek compare against one another in every which way, shall we?

Replica Patek Philippe

ACHIEVEMENTS: Their many notable achievements include literally inventing the wristwatch, for example, creating the Patek Philippe Calibre 89 which is one of the world’s most complicated wristwatches with 33 complications and much more are a few good reasons to give them the respect they truly deserve. Patek Philippe has been leading in innovation and is considered one of the “Trinity” watchmakers.

BRAND PRESTIGE: Patek Philippe’s the third most recognized brand of Swiss-made watches in the world with only two of the less prestigious, yet more widely known brands (Omega watches and Rolex) ahead of them at the #2 and #1 positions.

There are many that would boldly declare that Patek Philippe is the “Rolls Royce” of Swiss watches or even call it “a Rich Man’s Rolex”. Patek Philippe’s brand value was estimated in 2016 to be at 1,885,000,000 CHF according to Interbrand, an agency which measures brand value and recognition of Switzerland’s top 50 brands.

CLIENTELE: Since 1839, (over 178 years) Patek Philippe has built an empire of super high-end watches which are worn by royalty, dignitaries, Fortune 500 CEO’s and top C-Suite executives, millionaires and billionaires the world over. There is a reason that the brand has such terrific prestige. It has lots to do with their ingenuity and innovations but also has a lot to do with how they solidified their brand’s position at the top of the luxury watch market.

BRAND MESSAGE: Their famous slogan from their iconic ad campaign goes: “You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You Merely look after it for the next generation.” An ad campaign that they’ve been running for over 20 years, and for good reasons too. As weird as it sounds, their ads don’t even advertise watches, they advertise family heirlooms that retain value. Patek Philippe watches can actually transfer value and oftentimes appreciate over generations.

RESALE VALUE: Patek Philippe’s watches are known to either hold their value or even appreciate over time. Patek Philippe has one of the highest resell values among their competitors with the exception of Rolex. So there is much truth to their campaign slogan, it’s an accurate description of their products. Patek Philippe arguably owns the top-tier of high-horology.

Once, the most expensive watches ever sold was a Patek Philippe with many complications and sold for over 11 million dollars, second only to a Rolex that was worn by Paul Newman. Whereas one gets its value from the fact that an actor wore it, the other gets its value from the fact that they create watches that are considered masterpieces to any master watchmaker.

Replica Rolex watch

ACHIEVEMENTS: Rolex was founded by Hans Wilsdorf in 1905 and is today, the one luxury watch brand that everyone in the world knows by name even though they are quite the young brand compared to Patek Philippe. That’s quite an achievement. They set out to create tool watches that are practical and make those impressively accurate with their superlative chronometers.

BRAND PRESTIGE: Rolex is the #1 most recognized and valuable Swiss watch brand in the world. Out of the top 50 Swiss companies in the world, Rolex is the 3rd most valuable Swiss brand.

Rolex is the most recognizable and valuable luxury watch brand with many celebrity endorsements over the years.Rolex’s brand value was estimated in 2016 to be at 7,387,000,000 CHF according to Interbrand, an agency that benchmarks Swiss brands to determine the top 50. So you will probably turn a lot of heads and get quite a few comments on your watch if you’re wearing one.

CLIENTELE: For over 113 years, Rolex had impressed watch collectors around the world and has attracted many high profile customers which include Hollywood celebrities such as actors and music artists. The people that tend to purchase a Rolex watch are usually the types that have a high appreciation for tough watches but also like the attention that comes with wearing one from a famous brand. On the downside, Rolex is also the most knocked-off luxury watch brand.

BRAND MESSAGE: Rolex gives off a very different message with their branding than most watchmakers. They pride themselves on being the watch that made it to the highest point on planet earth and the lowest depths underwater known to man. Their brand message is that of adventure and a watch that you can count on during these expeditions. They are indeed backing it up with built-to-last craftsmanship and have the longest warranty period in the industry with their 5-year warranty.

RESALE VALUE: Another area where Rolex comes out at the very top is resale value. There is no other watch brand that holds its value like Rolex. However, Rolex and Patek Philippe both will usually fetch a higher percentage of your principal investment compared to most brands.

Of course, when it comes to resale value, you can’t paint a brand with a broad brush. It will always depend on the watch itself, the condition it’s in, if it is still under warranty, if it has all the original documents and other variables. There are also times when a Rolex appreciates in value. For example, Paul Newman’s Rolex sold and at Phillips Auction for 17.8 million dollars

A Red Rolex? Top 5 Best Watches by Rolex with Red Dials

Red, Rouge, Burgundy; Call it what you wish, it’s the color of love and these are the top 5 Rolexes with red dials that we happen to love.

It’s not every day that we cover a bold looking watch such as a Rolex with a red dial but today is that lucky day where we will discuss several red-dialed Rolexes that deserve our undivided attention.

A Red Rolex? Top 5 Watches by Rolex with Red Dials

After reading this, click on any of the red luxury watches below to see details or click here to see all of them at once:

Despite the fact that the trend for watch case sizes is showing that people are buying watches with larger cases these days, the 5 featured watches are all midsize watches at 36mm and can be worn by women or even men with average to smaller wrist sizes.

Another thing that these all have in common is that they are all Replica Rolex Day-Date 36mm watches. Rolex prefers the term “burgundy” or “cherry dial” over ‘red dial’.

My best guess is that it is just a more marketable term for their target demographic.

The first one on the list that we will talk about is the Rolex reference 118139 Cherry Index Leather. This timepiece uses a 36mm case constructed of 18kt white gold and has a fluted bezel which gives it that very distinct “Rolex look”. This model has a matching red Bordeaux colored leather strap and is the only one on this list that comes with a leather watch band.

This Rolex red face watch uses a 31 jewel chronometer known as the caliber 3155 which is a self-winding/automatic caliber that runs at 28,800 VpH for about 48 hours on a full wind.

This watch red face Rolex watch uses a 31 jewel chronometer known as the caliber 3155 which is a self-winding/automatic movement that runs at 28,800 VpH for about 48 hours on a full wind.

NOTE: This in-house movement can be found in all the watches featured in this blog post.

It’s important to note that there are 5 models with red dials and all 5 are Rolex Day-Date 36mm watches. However the difference between them (aside from price and model number) is that 3 models are using an 18kt White Gold case, each with a different type of bracelet; one oyster bracelet (118239 Cherry Index Oyster), one presidents bracelet (118239 Cherry Index President), and one on a red leather strap shown above (118139 Cherry Index Leather). It’s a shame that the only materials used are white gold and platinum. No rose gold, no yellow gold, and no steel options.

It would have been nice to see a Rolex Datejust in Red on this list or in any other material such as stainless steel or even a solid 18kt yellow gold model with a red dial. I’d even settle for a stainless steel 36mm Day-Date with a red dial just to have a more affordable option for those that don’t want to dish out for gold or platinum models. Perhaps even a Rolex GMT-Master II with a red dial to match one of the models that have a split red and black bezel. If you ever see one in the future you’ll know that you heard of it here first!

The two most expensive models pictured below are not using 18kt white gold but rather platinum. The more expensive of the two platinum models has a diamond bezel (ref. 118346 Cherry Index President) while the more affordable of the two platinum models has a smooth bezel without any diamonds (ref. 118206 Cherry Index President).

Is there a model with a red dial that you don’t see here that you would have preferred to see in this list? Let us know in the comment box below.

Replica Audemars Piguet VS Fake Rolex

Join us as we compare and review two of the most coveted brands in watchmaking to determine which brand is best for you.

Let’s face it, there are many exclusive watch brands out there and frankly, there almost always has been. After carefully considering every one of them you can literally find something special in just about every single one of them. The big question is which one is the best for you specifically. Today we will do an AP Rolex comparison; two of the top brands in watchmaking.

Audemars Piguet VS Rolex: A Detailed Comparison & Review

To start, we need to find out what motivated you to decide to buy a watch from either of these brands. Is it the look of their watches? Is it the reputation of their brand? Is it the recognition you would get wearing one of their watches? Are you looking to acquire what will one day become a treasured family heirloom?

As you can see there are a number of motivating factors why people would spend a lot on a really high-end watch and you may relate to any one of them or even all of them.

Depending on what factors you relate to you may want to compare these brands from different angles.

For example: let’s say you just want to make a statement with what you are wearing on your wrist. You may want to make that statement to a select few …or even to everyone. In this type of situation, you want to compare the two in the context of brand recognition.

Whereas Rolex is the most internationally recognizable luxury watch brand, Audemars Piguet is not. AP is certainly recognized in the watchmaking community as a better brand than Rolex but because of the exclusivity of the AP brand, the average layman will not realize that your watch is superior to a Rolex.

You can use a nice watch to dress to impress, but you need to figure out who you are trying to impress first. Audemars Piguet is considered one of the ‘big three’ or as many call it, the ‘Holy Trinity of watchmaking’. Rolex never made it to the Big 3, yet Rolex is still the single most recognized luxury watch brand in the world (according to a recent report by Swiss brand valuation agency Interbrand) and makes excellent watches regardless.

These two brands took lots of time perfecting the art of watchmaking. There’s a reason they’re still in business after over 100 years in operation. Rolex prides itself on the accuracy and durability of their watches while Audemars Piguet is less focused on precision and more artistic about their craft. You can clearly see the difference between the two by comparing any of their movements.

Replica Audemars Piguet pays meticulous attention to every single detail in the movement and finishes them to perfection in a way that Rolex doesn’t even compare.

While a Rolex caliber is a very high-quality piece of mechanical machinery, it’s missing that extra detail, that superb finishing that you will find in an AP watch such as the motifs, the engraving which you will rarely if ever find in a Rolex. In fact, most Rolexes have solid case backs which won’t even let you even see the movement or its action.

Replica Rolex watches are known for their accuracy. Specifically, since they’ve been putting the words Superlative Chronometer on their watches which means that the watch was regulated and tested to an accuracy of -2/+2 seconds per day. Almost every Rolex manufactured lately is meeting this level of precision.

Audemars Piguet, on the other hand, is not advertising the accuracy the way Rolex is and this may be because they don’t have a standard minimum precision the way Rolex does. The accuracy on Copy Audemars Piguet watches depends on a few things: the model of the watch, the movement, how long has it been since it was brought in to be serviced, the level of activity of the person wearing it, how the watch is placed when not being worn. There are quite a few variables here as you can see.

The truth is, if you want the most accurate watch, you shouldn’t be looking at mechanical watches at all but rather, the less expensive (to say the least) quartz watch which is battery powered and has a level of precision that is simply unattainable by mechanical watches.

  1. Just about everybody and their Uncle know the Rolex brand. You don’t even need to be a watch nut to be familiar with them. This type of popularity comes in handy when it comes to a pre-owned market.
  2. Rolex is known to hold its value better than any other watch brand out there.
  3. This year even the new Rolex sports watches such as the stainless steel Daytona, Submariner models, GMT Master II, Yacht-Master and such have been selling for more than their listed retail price indicating very high demand which also positively affects the resale value.
  4. Their watches are built very solid and can theoretically last forever if properly maintained.
  1. Replica Audemars Piguet watches are a different breed of a watch than your average luxury watch.
  2. Wearing an AP is indicative of a real watch nerd who can also talk the talk. Most people that are not into horology have no idea who Audemars Piguet is in the world of watchmaking. Yet, they are considered one of the BIG 3 which include AP, Vacheron & Patek.
  3.  Everyone and their neighbor isn’t wearing AP watches. This is a more exclusive and prestigious brand.
  4.  It’s the type of watch that the wearer can enjoy wearing it all on his own without any need of some stranger’s recognition.
  5.  The real pleasure comes when socializing in those inner circles of watch connoisseurs and seeing a watch nerd geek out over the watch.
  6.  The craftsmanship of an AP is also a different type of grade. There are more bells and whistles such as intricate finishing processes involved in AP’s and they are not mass produced like Rolex watches.
  7.  This is more of a family heirloom type of watch brand with a more exclusive clientele.
  8.  Another excellent reason to buy an Audemars Piguet is if you enjoy complications, the kind you find in a really high-end mechanical watch. We’re talking about tourbillons, perpetual calendars, moon phase, retrograde, minute repeaters, chronographs, dual time zone/GMT’s, and more mechanical features offer more function than just to tell you the time. Rolex is a forward-thinking brand and may have a few tricks up their sleeves but Audemars Piguet has been making magic with their movements for significantly longer and has quite a few more tricks up their sleeves.

Replica Rolex VS Fake Hublot

We hear “What is a better watch Hublot or Rolex?” more often than you think and it can be answered in several ways depending on the context of the question.” So let’s answer all of them, shall we?

We are here to address some key questions that you’re probably asking yourself when comparing Rolex VS Hublot. These two luxury brands are both very popular and are often considered when looking for a luxury watch from a well-known Swiss watchmaker. You may be considering a purchase and want to find out which is a better watch. Both brands produce some great wristwatches. That said, in the case of Hublot VS Rolex, let’s find out which is the best brand for you.

For your convenience, we created two buttons that link to each brand should you wish to let you visually compare their products while reading this comparison. Clicking on either one of the buttons will open a new tab so you can see them side by side.

16 watch brands rank in the top 50 Swiss brands. You will get an idea of just how essential watchmaking is in Switzerland as well as how big these brands are. Regarding recognition, this is how Rolex VS Hublot compare.

Rolex is the #3 most recognized Swiss brand worldwide* with only Nescafe and Nestle before them making Rolex the #1 most recognizable Swiss watch brand with almost 100% brand recognition internationally.

Hublot is in position #40 of the same top 50* Swiss brands making Hublot the 14th most recognizable Swiss watch brand in the world. Are they a major brand? Yes! Very major but people recall the Rolex brand more.

So regarding how many comments you’ll get if you wore each watch, chances are, you will hear “Hey, Nice Rolex!” more often since a higher percentage of people (many of which are not “watch people” per se) will remember Rolex compared to Hublot. However, anyone who knows anything at all about watches would know Hublot is also superb watch brand albeit a much younger one.

Rolex Prices start at about $500 more than the cheapest Hublot. At the moment, the most affordable new Rolex would be the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39mm men’s watch followed by the Rolex Datejust 33mm ladies watches which cost about $500 more. They use automatic calibers that are purely mechanical movements.

Hublot Prices start at a lower price than a Rolex. With more affordable watches such as the 33mm and 36mm Classic Fusion Lady or the Men’s 42mm Hublot Classic Fusion Automatic for about $150 more than the women’s 33mm quartz version. These Hublot watches use cost-effective battery-powered quartz movements.

You should, however, compare apples with apples. Rolex doesn’t make quartz watches, period. They pride themselves on only manufacturing mechanical watches which are considered more prestigious by watch lovers and collectors the world over. Yes, there used to be quartz Rolexes in the past. The Rolex Oysterquartz was last featured in their catalog in 2001, but ever since that last run, they have scrapped the idea and instead focused on producing only high-end and high-precision mechanical calibers for their watches.

So considering the above, what determines the value of the cheapest Rolex caliber VS the most affordable Hublot quartz movement?

Is Hublot a good watch? Yes. An excellent one. There is a direct correlation though between the value of a brand, the recognition of a brand and the resale value. While some watches have high resale value for other reasons such as the rarity or iconic status of a watch; as a general rule, the better the brand, the more you’ll get back when trying to sell it. This rule works with most products, not just watches.

Regarding the street value of Replica Rolex watches, you really can’t paint an answer with a broad brush. However, regarding the percentage of what you originally paid for a Rolex or Hublot versus what you can sell it for, you will usually get more when reselling your Rolex watches compared to reselling your Replica Hublot watch. It’s almost a given every time. What’s better than a Rolex? Regarding resale value? Nobody.

Now, as to why you’d want to sell a Rolex or Hublot watch? It beats me. However, let’s look at common reasons why some people would (or wouldn’t) buy a Hublot or a Rolex watch.

They have a reputation for being very trendy watches, most that command a presence on the wrist such as the tonneau shaped Hublot Spirit of The Big Bang
Hublot has a few unique watches that are horological masterpieces such as the MP collection
Their entry-level watches are slightly more affordable than Rolexes
Hublot has a tremendous amount of bling, iced-out models.
They’re unique in the sense that there are many different materials and types of watch straps.
They have a large number of limited edition watches and unique special edition watches.
Hublot has many rubber strap watches. Rolex, on the other hand, has only a few models with their rubber alloy Oysterflex bracelets but since introduced on the Yachtmaster 40mm, it made its way into the Daytona collection as well.
Hublot has quartz models which offer more precision and require less maintenance than mechanical wristwatches.

They are a major watch brand but not as much of a well-known watch brand as Rolex.
They usually don’t hold the same resale value as Rolex watches
They don’t produce as many super high-priced bling models as Rolex (if that’s what you’re looking for) but have a great selection.
While watch connoisseurs would recognize a Hublot as a respected brand that offers both mechanical and quartz watches. Some watch connoisseurs who usually marvel at the micromechanics and these purists have a tendency only to sing the praises of brands that exclusively offer purely mechanical watches. This isn’t necessarily a con in any way since there are also many people who prefer quartz watches but it should nonetheless be mentioned.

As you can see from the above pros and cons that through their unique product line, Hublot has positioned their brand in the luxury watch market as a manufacturer that produces watches for trendsetters who appreciate watches that are unique and not traditional in any sense of the word. Hublot is a forward-looking brand that many watch people consider to be a “marketing watch brand” which is essentially a younger, less historically significant and sometimes less established brand that had a killer marketing strategy that is working well for them.

Hublot prides themselves on using the art of fusion to generate watches using materials that are not traditionally found on watches and also offer a large number of different types of color options and different types of bands. They are also competitively priced and in the last few years started producing in-house movements instead of using ETA ébauche movements in an effort to bring the brand’s prestige a bit more up-market.

They are the most recognized brand of luxury watches in the world
They have, in general, a better resale value than most luxury watch brands
They have many bling models with diamond bezels, pavé dials (faces paved with diamonds), precious metals of all sorts (if you’re into that).
Many innovations have been patented by Rolex such as their Parachrom blue, Osterflex bracelets, Oysterlock, Everose gold (rose gold) alloy, Cerachrom bezel inserts, Triplock locking crown, and more
Rolex makes quite a few iconic watches such as the Rolex Submariner and the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona, Rolex Explorer, Sea-Dweller and more
Their mechanical watches are all Superlative Chronometers which are highly accurate and precise mechanical movements with a minimum precision of -2/+2 seconds per day

They are usually slightly less affordable than Hublots
You don’t have as many different straps as with Hublot
They don’t have as many special edition watches, and limited edition watches as Hublot
Hublot has many different rubber strap options more than Rolex

Rolex Prices start at about $5,700 which is about 7 times more than the cheapest Longines watch. At the moment, the cheapest new Rolex watch would be the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39mm men’s watch followed by the Rolex Datejust 31mm ladies watches which cost about $500 more than the Oyster Perpetual 39mm. Replica Rolex VS Zenith watch

Today we will compare two very popular luxury watch brands, Replica Rolex and Fake Zenith to determine which is the best brand for you.

I’m often asked “What’s better, a Rolex or a Zenith watch?” and this is the exact kind of question that you should ask before making a high consideration purchase such as a luxury watch. Furthermore, this question can hold multiple different contexts such as: “Which brand is more popular”, “Which brand makes more complicated watches”, “Which brand makes higher quality watches?” or even “Which has a better resale value?” etc. The real question is “Better in terms of what?” All these will be answered in our in-depth comparison of Zenith and Rolex. Let’s begin, shall we?

Historically speaking, Zenith is an older brand than Rolex and has been manufacturing watches for nearly 35 years longer than Rolex. However, Rolex has been making great use of their time building up their brand to the point that they now manufacture approximately 2,000 Rolex watches per day.

Which Brand is More Popular? This is going to be an easy question to answer. Rolex is a more popular and famous brand than Zenith. Despite being a significantly younger brand, they managed to climb to the very top of the food chain. The Rolex brand is actually #3 in the top 50 most valuable Swiss brands and that makes it the #1 most recognizable Swiss watch brand. Zenith, although a very popular luxury watch brand, never made it to the list.

Zenith VS Rolex: Which brand Holds Value Best? Rarely does someone ever think of selling a watch before they buy it but it is wise to think about this when considering a high-ticket item. The resale value is important because in the event that you ever needed to sell the watch you want to make sure that you get back as much as possible when doing so.

That said, the average resale value of a Zenith is lower than a Replica Rolex. While Zenith is a lower market brand than Rolex and this may be an explanation but to be frank, Rolex will hold a higher average resell value over any other brand, including the most expensive tier 1 luxury watch brands. So this doesn’t take away much from Zenith since it finds itself in the same predicament as every other watchmaker in this regard.

Rolex versus Zenith Prices: An entry-level men’s Zenith watch such as the Elite classic 39mm starts at a retail list price of $4,700. For the ladies, the most affordable Zenith watch is the Zenith Star 33mm which starts at about $100 less.

The cheapest new Rolex watch available will run you about $1000 more than the cheapest Zenith watch and that would be the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39mm. Mind you, this is one of those situations where you should also take into consideration the resale value when crunching the numbers. Watches are like cars in the sense that as soon as you use it, a good chunk of the value is already lost.

What is more accurate, a Zenith or a Rolex? One of the things that these two watch brands are great at is accuracy, yet each in their own special way. Rolex makes a superior mechanical caliber when it comes to overall accuracy and precision. Their movements are even more accurate than the standard COSC chronometer.

This is why you will see the words “Superlative Chronometer” on the dials of modern Rolex watches. This means that the watch has an accuracy which a deviation threshold of +2/-2 seconds per day. The standard COSC certified watch is -4/+6 seconds per day.

Zenith, on the other hand, has an iconic and highly precise chronograph movement (a movement with a stopwatch function). In fact, when it was first released in 1969, after 7 years of development, it was the very first automatic chronograph in history. Their legendary El Primero movement is a high-beat caliber that resonates at 36,600 VpH and can be used to measure time in a highly precise way.

Furthermore, the El Primero movement was the very caliber that powered the Rolex Daytona many moons ago before Rolex started only using in-house calibers in their watches.

This is an area where Zenith shines brighter than the very star that inspired their brand name. In terms of horology many will judge a brand by how complicated their watches can get. Many brands are admired for their added features. In watchmaking this is referred to as “complications”. Some examples of high complications are perpetual calendars, minute repeaters, and of course, tourbillons which are usually considered by most to be “la crème de la crème” in terms of complications since only few manufactures are able to create these mesmerizing complications. Zenith created the first high-beat tourbillon which oscillates at 36,000 VpH or 5Hz which adds an extra level of prestige to their brand.

Rolex doesn’t manufacture any tourbillon watches. Some after-market companies have been adding them to the Milgauss watches lately but Rolex doesn’t make them. Rolex does has some manufactured some pretty complicated movements of their own such as the Rolex in-house caliber 9001 found in the Sky Dweller which holds 14 patents. While this is a very impressive movement, to say the least, the brand has never aligned themselves with haute-horlogerie (high-horology watches) the way Zenith did with the introduction of their 1-minute and 5Hz tourbillons. Rolex, according to most people is a high-end brand that manufactures excellent tool-watches that offer higher-than COSC Chronometer accuracy.

Both of these brands make excellent watches. Rolex watches, specifically their sports models such as the Submariner, GMT Master II are known to be built tough as nails. They are often used as the “beater watch” for many luxury watch collectors that are looking for a wristwatch that can take a little punishment all the while maintaining impressive accuracy.

Replica Zenith watches are slightly more affordable than a Rolex and offer great value with their highly precise chronographs. They don’t hold their value the way a Rolex would and in the defense of Zenith, neither does any other brand for that matter.

Copy IWC and Replica Rolex

Let’s compare these two brands from many angles and through many lenses to find out if Rolex or IWC is the brand for you.

IWC VS Rolex | In-Depth Comparison

We are often asked questions such as “What’s better, IWC or Rolex?” This is not the type of question that can be answered directly without understanding the context of the question. This question has many contexts and therefore could mean any of the following questions:

“Which brand is more prestigious?”
“Which brand has a better warranty?”
“Which brand makes better watches?”
“Which brand has higher resale value?”
“Which watch brand is more expensive?”
“Which brand makes more durable watches?”
“Which brand makes more accurate watches?”
“Which brand produces more complicated watches?”

Today we will look at Replica Rolex and Replica IWC and Review them through unique lenses that address each of these questions. Once these are answered you can draw your own conclusions and determine for yourself which is best.

Rolex most recently has upped their warranty period to 5 years which is more than 200% longer than any other watchmaker in the industry besides for Omega watches which since recently all come with a 5-year warranty. Either way, you look at it Rolex has the best warranty in the business. Furthermore, Rolex also says that their period between servicing is 10 years and no other watchmaker comes close to that.

The fact is that Rolex stands behind their products longer than anyone else in the business and goes above & beyond to deliver exceptional value with the purchase of any Rolex watch; a long-term value that outshines any other brand.

IWC, on the other hand, offers that same 2-year warranty that almost every Swiss watchmaker offers.

Both IWC and Rolex offer great craftsmanship with beautifully finished mechanical movements, however, IWC is more likely to flaunt their work by using transparent case backs. Rolex, on the other hand, only has watches with solid case backs which is kind of a shame since they do makeexcellent mechanical calibers.

It also gives you a subtle hint as to what demographic they are catering to. Some even go as far as to say that people who only wear Rolexes are usually not 100% in it for the horology and mechanical marvels of watchmaking but rather for the public recognition of what they are wearing on their wrist. Then again there are others who completely disagree with that and love the fact that Rolex builds very durable and accurate watches. The same cannot be said about IWC which is a highly recognized brand but at the same time, it is recognized more within the watchmaking and watch collecting community. Some might even call it a more refined brand of watch.

It is also very important to note that Rolex produces all its calibers in-house. IWC, on the other hand, will more-often-than-not use ébauche calibers which are a template of sorts made by a 3rdparty and then adjust them in-house to built them up as they see fit.

IWC also produces in-house calibers but unless they specifically say that it is an in-house movement, you can bet that someone else such as ETA (i.e the famous Valjoux movement) or Sellita made it (for the most part). There isn’t anything wrong with using ébauche calibers. Most watchmakers do…but a certain amount of prestige is attributed to watchmakers that can do everything in-house.

Rolex is by far the winner here. No other watchmaker has as high of an average resale value compared to Rolex. Not even the likes of the “holy trinity” of watchmakers (Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin & Audemars Piguet). Watches are very similar to other mechanical products such as vehicles in the sense that as soon as you use it once, it lost a good chunk of its value.

An entry-level Rolex watch will cost about 150% more than the cheapest IWC watch. On the plus side, you can acquire an iconic IWC watch such as the IWC Pilot’s watch Mark XVIII 40mm Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince) for substantially less than that of the most affordable iconic Rolex watch such as the Submariner which will cost about double the price of the most an affordable iconic IWC watches.

Most watch enthusiasts, watchmakers, and serious collectors would tell you without any hesitation that Rolex is a different type of watch than IWC. It is more utilitarian; a tool watch of sorts. Whereas IWC is a more refined watch that shows impeccable class and good taste. This resulted in Rolex achieving a 100% international brand recall whereas IWC isn’t anywhere near that. Rolex is, in fact, the most valuable watch brand in the world according to Interbrand, a brand valuation agency that rates the most valuable and recognized Swiss brands; many which are watchmakers. Rolex is the #1 most recognized luxury watch brand in the world. IWC is the 9th most recognized Swiss watchmaker in the world (which is also very impressive).

Some even go as far to say that if you want to impress your average layman, wear a Rolex but IWC is a watch to wear to impress a watchmaker or serious collector. The difference is not only seen in the brand positioning and marketing efforts of both brands but also in the public’s perception of each brand. Rolex pushes their brand aggressively and with many impressive ads that promulgate a desirable and often attainable item to the average person. You can see this in the very publications where their ads are placed. Their target demographic is basically everyone and everywhere. Doing this creates this desire in the public eye for something expensive and give one the illusion of success if they manage to purchase one.

I know this may sound like I’m beating on Replica Rolex watch but I’m not. I’m just explaining what happens when a brand with the magnitude of Rolex aggressively advertises their products to anyone and everyone. To be perfectly fair towards Rolex, none of what I said takes away from the fact that Rolex has literally perfected their watches in ways that no other watchmaker has in history. We will discuss this further in this article with comparisons in precision, craftsmanship, durability, and warranty. It’s just important to discern the difference between watchmaking know-how and the marketing side of the industry.

This is another area where Rolex shines brightly. More so too with their sports models such as the Submariner, Deep-Sea, Sea-Dweller, Explorer, GMT Master II, Explorer II, Daytona, Milgauss. Many watch enthusiasts will wear Rolexes as a “beater”; that everyday watch that takes all the hits. Why? Because as they advertise: “No one will ever test a Rolex like Rolex.”

They literally test their watches to extremes that no human being can withstand. The same cannot be said with the same of IWC Schaffhausen watches. If I were to drop both watches (which would never happen willingly), my money is on Rolex 10 out of 10 times.

Rolex has many a procedure in their quality control testing that places the watch in a situation such as shock which will usually destroy a mechanical caliber. However, their “Crash Test” uses 20 different drop tests and another called the “belier” which is literally a battering ram which delivers an impactful slam equivalent to 5,000 G. This is 100’s of times the intensity of the crashes used in testing motor vehicles. The watch needs to stay unharmed and 100% operational afterward and still have the highest of accuracy regardless. Would I dare put a battering ram to an IWC? Heck NO! Not even if you paid me. They are just far too precious to even take that chance. Rolex also performs many other tests including the depth of water resistance and are just as brutal in any other tests that they perform.

Again, an area where Rolex takes home the gold against IWC. Rolex has started bestowing all their watches with the Superlative Chronometer designation which is about 250% more accurate than the COSC Chronometer designation, the highest 3rd party designation attributed to the most accurate of watches. Whereas a COSC certified Chronometer has to have a minimum tolerance of deviation of -4/+6 seconds per day, a Superlative Chronometer first gets a COSC certificate, then the movement is cased and tested again until it achieves an accuracy rating of -2/+2 seconds per day.

Finally, a topic where IWC outshines Rolex! IWC Schaffhausen manufacture many watches which have “high complications” a horological term for extra features and often combinations of extra features other than simply telling time. Watches such as the solid platinum Replica IWC Grande Complications which offers a Chronograph, Perpetual Calendar, Minute Repeater and Moon phase all-in-one are a great example of a high-complications watch and come with a $283,000 price tag.

Simply put: IWC gets to flex their watchmaking muscles and show what they can really do (mechanically speaking) in this area and this is one of the main reasons why serious “watch-people” typically love them more than Rolex.

Replica Chopard VS Fake Rolex

These two brands constitute 50% of the 4 most recognized and valuable Swiss watch brands on this planet. Let’s see which best suits your lifestyle and unique needs. Will it be Rolex or Chopard?

Comparison of Chopard VS Rolex

We are often asked “Which is better, Replica Chopard watches or Replica Rolex watches?” and without understanding the context of the question the answer is not so straight forward. This is why this article was created. Click on any of the questions below to jump to the answer section.“What’s better?”can mean any of the following:

Which has better precision?
Which brand is more prestigious?
Which brand is more famous?
Which one has better craftsmanship?
Which has better durability?
Which makes the best divers watches?
Which holds its value best?
Which has better pricing & retail value?

That said, let’s address each of these questions to give you a better picture of how you can compare Rolex VS Chopard watches to see which is the best option for you and your unique needs. Shall we?

In the watchmaking industry, this is called ‘chronometry’ which is defined as the science of accurate time measurement. The Swiss Institute of Chronometry (known by its original French name ‘Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres’) or COSC for short is the industry standard for testing movements to ensure high precision.

Once they pass a series of tests, the mechanical movement (also known as a caliber) is then awarded the designation of ‘Chronometer’ and receives a COSC certificate attesting to its accuracy. The mechanical caliber must achieve an accuracy of no less than -4/+6 seconds of acceptable daily deviation.

Both Rolex and Chopard have watches that come with a COSC certificate and will have the designation of Chronometer proudly displayed on the dial. Rolex, however, will have an extra word attached to this designation; ‘Superlative’ Chronometer. This means that after COSC issued their certificate Rolex did further testing until it reached a much higher rate of precision.

Chopard is a historically rich brand that was manufacturing watches since 1860. In addition to watches, Chopard also manufactures high-end jewelry for the rich and famous. Their brand is very similarly positioned with brands such as Cartier and Harry Winston; both who make watches but are even more famous for their fine jewels. Rolex, on the other hand, is strictly in the watch business and hasn’t indicated that they will be making jewelry any time soon.

According to a recent report by Interbrand, an agency that evaluates Swiss companies and brands and ranks the top 50 Swiss brands, Chopard is the 4th most popular Swiss watch brand in the world with a brand value of 1,098 Million CHF. The only Swiss watch brands that outrank them on this list are, Rolex, Omega, and Patek Philippe; in that exact order. Of course, there are also Swiss chocolatiers and Swiss banks in the mix too but in terms of watchmakers, they are #4.

Rolex has the coveted #1 position in the world in terms of luxury watch brands. They have 100% brand recognition and that is quite an achievement. They have steadily positioned their brand as the watch that can handle just about anything and have manufactured many types of watches; each that serve their own purpose and function.

Rolex has become a household name and everyone rich and poor know their name. While Chopard is up there too, they are not necessarily known as well as a watchmaker as much as they are known for being a high-end exclusive master-jeweller

Chopard has made some advancements in their craft over the last century and a half. While they do have a few in-house movements that are impressive, most of their movements are not made entirely by Chopard. They are either ébauche calibers which are “outsourced” movements usually from ETA which may or may not then be built-up in-house using various modules. They also have many watches which use Quartz movements which are ridiculously more affordable compared to mechanical movements.

Rolex doesn’t use quartz movements. They did try one at one point during the watchmaking industry’s quartz crisis. It was called the Oysterquartz but they quickly scrapped that idea before it hurt their brand. Furthermore, Rolex doesn’t use ébauche movements either and manufacture all their movements in-house. They did use them in the past such as the iconic El-Primero chronograph mvement which once powered the Rolex Daytona but have since changed their manufacturing to do everything in their own factories.

Rolex has also taken watchmaking to a whole new level and they hold many patents for innovations that they have made to watchmaking. It was, in fact, a Rolex engineer who perfected the self-winding rotor system used in the automatic watches that we use today. They have developed a reputation for improving things that other watchmakers thought not possible.

Rolex has also had their watches go to the highest mountain peaks and the lowest depths of the ocean and seabeds just to prove that their watches are up for the challenge. They are durable and rugged, yet stylish and classy. Their ads often say that no human can withstand the testing that their watches go through but they do it anyway. While this sounds like a bunch of marketing mumbo-jumbo; it is not. Rolex owners will attest to this.

In terms of durability, a Fake Rolex watch, (especially a sports model such as the Submariner) is built tougher and are more equipped to handle day-to-day wear than just about any Chopard watch. A Chopard is more of a refined classy watch and therefore not subject to the scrutiny of those that want a watch that can take a beating.

Many watch collectors will use a Rolex as their “beater” watch. They have incorporated their patented Paraflex shock absobers into many of their models and their Oyster cases with their screw down crowns are excellent for submersible situations. Which is a great segway to our next topic; Water Resistance.

While Replica Chopard makes some excellent watches such as the L.U.C. Quattro with its 9-day power reserve shown in the main article image at the top of this blog post, Chopard doesn’t make diving watches. Water resistance is pretty basic on Chopard watches which are typically either classy dress watches or racing watches such as their various chronographs.

It’s also quite important to get a realistic idea of what the water resistance on a watch means regardless of what brand it is and learn how to take proper care of any watch, diving watch or not to ensure longevity and ensure you will keep the warranty intact.

Rolex, on the other hand, has many diving watches suitable for anyone from an amateur diver to a even a seasoned professional such as James Cameron. It was in fact a Rolex that went down with James Cameron to the deepest depths of the earth’s waters known as the Mariana Trench. Rolex commemorated this achievement with the Rolex Deepsea; a diving watch that has 3900m/12800ft of water resistance.

Rolex has the best average resale value in the industry. So if you are looking to build a strong collection and may consider trading in a watch for a better one, Rolex will on average give you back more of your principal than any other brand. Of course, resell value is largely dependant on a number of variables such as the condition of the watch, the model itself, how rare it is, whether or not it includes all original documents and boxes, wether or not it is still under warranty and other things.

It’s important to note that a watch is not an investment and it is rare when a watch winds up being worth more than what you paid for it. While these things do happen, they are rare and should not be considered as an investment such as a proper security. They do have a tangible value which can (albeit rare) at times appreciate, but don’t count on it. You can compare them to a car in the sense that as soon as you use it, some of its original value is lost.

These brands are both considered luxury watches. You can pick an entry-level Chopard model for just above $5,000 at full retail price for a men’s model and just under $5,000 for a ladies model. Rolex has a slightly higher price point for their entry-level models which start at a full retail price of $5,700.

Replica Omega VS Fake Rolex

The two most recognized Swiss watch brands in the world are benchmarked and go head to head in this comparison. Which do you think is the best?

People will often call us asking for advice on choosing between an Omega or a Rolex watch and we are happy to share our extensive experience with both brands. This comparison of Omega and Rolex presents you with information that will help you decide which is the best brand to suit your particular needs.

Warranty

Both brands have pretty impressive warranties. In the luxury watch industry, you will usually see a 2-year warranty on most watches with most brands. However, both Omega and Rolex offer a superior warranty duration than the average luxury watch brand. Omega has a 5-year warranty on all their watches. Rolex also offers a 5-year warranty on all their watches.

Resell Value

Something to consider when you purchase an expensive watch is what you can expect to get back for it later. This is an area where Rolex shines brighter than Omega and every other brand for that matter. When it comes to resale value, Rolex has the industry in the bag. They are, bar-none, the luxury watch brand with the highest resell value in the world.

When it comes to resale Omega isn’t bad per se. The best Omega watch may fetch a higher average resale value than the worst Rolex but the Rolex brand still dominates the pre-owned market and on average, their watches hold value the best. They are also one of the most knocked-off brands as well. I suppose you take the good with the bad, eh? So, when it comes to resale, which is better Rolex or Omega? Rolex is, bar none, the best when it comes to average resale value with no exceptions.

OMEGA VS ROLEX

Common Features

  • Rolex and Omega both have some iconic watches
  • Both brands are highly recognized Swiss luxury watch brands
  • Both Omega and Rolex are rich in watchmaking history
  • Both have an excellent and above industry-average 5-year warranty period
  • Both brands have made numerous horological innovations throughout the years
  • Both brands have watches that were worn by James Bond in various 007 films
  • Rolex and Omega produce some of the most accurate mechanical watches
  • Both brands undergo further testing after receiving a COSC certification
  • Both brands have been fighting electromagnetic interference with numerous innovations

Brand Recognition

According to Interbrand, an agency that measures brand popularity and brand value for the top Swiss brands. Rolex is the single most recognized watch brand in the world. I read that they have 100% international brand recognition.

You can expect to turn heads just about everywhere with your Rolex. Omega is a close second and is the second most recognizable watch brand in the world and their brand recall is closer to 70% which sounds like a huge difference but is an amazing accomplishment for the Omega brand nonetheless. You can expect to turn about 30% fewer heads with your Omega watch.

We know that both brands are very well recognized but in terms of precision, are Omega watches good? What’s to say about Rolex? Are Rolex watches good? Yes. Both are excellent brands that aren’t just about marketing.

How good are Omega watches? How good are Rolex watches? Both brands have gone above-and-beyond what is considered to be good watchmaking to deliver exceptionally precise timepieces by the highest standards and then some.

In case you haven’t already known this, some of the most accurate watches have a designation from a third-party testing lab called COSC which stands for ‘Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres’. They earn the title ‘chronometer’ for their superior accuracy.

Both Rolex and Omega create watches with next-level chronometer designations but which is more accurate Rolex or Omega? I’ve covered the difference in accuracy between Omega’s and Rolex’s most accurate mechanical watches in a previous blog post and will explain exactly how the difference in accuracy works between these two luxury watch brands.

So, when it comes to accuracy, which is better Omega or Rolex? In terms of overall accuracy, Omega wins, since they not only make mechanical watches but also quite a few quartz watches. Quartz watches, as we all know, are more accurate than their mechanical counterparts.

Rolex, on the other hand, doesn’t manufacture quartz watches anymore. They gave it a go a while back but they later re-focused their attention on only manufacturing mechanical watches moving forward.

Both of these watchmakers produce some excellent diver’s watches that offer great water resistance.

You’ll discover that Omega has at the very top of the waterproof food chain the Seamaster ProProf 1200m which has a water resistance of 1,200 meters / 4,000 feet. Other diver watches from this brand include the Seamaster Planet Ocean and Omega Seamaster Professional Diver 300M, all which have a helium release valve.

However, Rolex seems to have really gone the extra mile, or rather 2.7 kilometers with its Rolex Deepsea series which has water resistance up to 3,900 meters / 12,800 feet. This quite literally blows Omega out of the water.

The most impressive feature of the Rolex Deepsea is the difference in Water Resistance compared to the Omega Seamaster ProProf 1200m. While serious diving calls for a minimum of 1650 feet and up of water resistance, the Rolex Deepsea boasts a over twelve thousand feet of resistance.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock in the Himalayas for the last 50 years, you probably already heard the term ‘EMF’ which is an acronym for electromagnetic frequency. Every electronic device known to man emits these frequencies and they screw up the timekeeping in mechanical watches. This is a growing pain for watchmakers who strive to keep them as accurate as possible and they are fighting back.

You’ll be happy to know that both Rolex and Omega make antimagnetic watches. Rolex has the Milgauss which is magnetic resistant up to 1000 gauss and Omega has many watches featuring the words Master Co-Axial Chronometer or a Master Chronometer designation. This means that the watch is tested and certified by a lab called METAS for many things including magnetic exposure up to 15,000 gausses making it 15x more efficient than the Rolex Milgauss. They both tackle the #1 enemy of mechanical watches slightly differently using different approaches but which brand does a better job? I wrote a blog post about these differences to answer this question for just you.

At the entry-level Rolex has a higher price than a new Omega watch. In fact, the cheapest Rolex watch is about double the list price of the most affordable Omega. However, you’ll see that Omega has been on the up-and-up over the past few decades but I think they still have quite a way to go before outpacing Rolex.

A more comparable diving watch to the ProProf 1200m that is made by Rolex would be the Sea-Dweller 4000 series which has the same 4,000 ft water-resistance as the Omega counterpart. But I do suggest that just for the sake of your horological entertainment, read the Deepsea VS Sea-Dweller comparison.

Both of these brands compete head-to-head at every level of watchmaking but being the underdog in terms of resell value and overall brand popularity, Omega puts up a very good fight.

Chronographs: Daytona VS Speedmaster

Diver’s Watches: Submariner VS Seamaster

Everyday Watches: Explorer VS Aqua Terra

Anti Magnetic Watches: Milgauss VS Aqua Terra

Both of these brands offer several iconic watches. Omega had the first watch on the moon, affectionately known as the Moon Watch and Rolex has a few of their own. In fact, most recently, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona worn by Paul Newman was auctioned off at over $17,000,000 making history as the most expensive watch ever sold. You can read about a few of the more noteworthy watches from each of these two brands below.

Omega Moonwatch
Rolex Submariner Hulk
